The Day's Inn is a conviently located older hotel, two blocks from the Georgia Aquarium. The staff was pleasant, and the rooms were clean, but the furnishings are a bit dated. Overall, a good value compared to other area hotels.

I stayed here for a conference at the Georgia World Conference Center in November 2009. The location was perfect and the accommodations were (as I expected) neat & clean, outfitted with all the amenities one might expect - save one: security. l came back from dinner, entered the lobby (no one at the front desk) and pressed the elevator call button. When it arrived, the "gentleman" inside asked me "Which floor, sir?". He pressed the appropriate button and as soon as the doors closed, he began his "pitch": "I just got robbed at the Greyhound station, blah, blah, blah.." I'm TRAPPED in the elevator with this panhandler. I tell him I've got nothing, and he asks to use my phone. I tell him I don't have a cell phone & he says he'd be happy to use the phone IN MY ROOM. I exit the elevator (at full sprint), round the corner, down 5 flights of stairs to the lobby to talk to the clerk on duty, but there was no one behind the counter. I'm not easily frightened, but there's no way I could recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stay at this Days Inn each year because of it's close proximity to the Georgia World Congress Center. This is an older hotel and its age is showing. During our stay, both elevators went out, one would work then the other wouldn't. The carpets are worn and dirty. You are within walking distance to some good restaurants, but you have to walk through a couple of seedy blocks which I wouldn't recommend to women. In addition to your room cost you will have to pay $ to park in the lot. Also, certainly not the hotel’s fault but someone pulled the fire alarm at 7am and we had to evacuate the hotel. The staff made zero effort to let us know it was a false alarm while we stood out in the rain. Look else where for a newer/safer hotel for the money. Cheers!

The hotel is a great location, 2 short blocks from the Metro and about 50 restaurants. Coming for a Braves game it was a short trip from the stadium and with the road blockage after the game it was even easier to find the hotel. The rooms were comfortable and of our 2 rooms one had a great view of the city. There were 2 VERY SLOW elevators for this large hotel. The wait was unacceptable and when we took the stairs we were locked out of the floors until we hit the ground floor and ended up in the receiving dock and had to jump down from the platform! The fitness room was horrible with a broken down treadmill--so old my feet hurt trying to walk on it. A life cycle that wouldn't turn on, but did turn its wheel and an elliptical that also was broken. the bathrooms by the fitness rooms were out of order as was the laundry and the water cooler in the fitness room. The ice machine on the floor would not give up ice until the morning. I was embarrassed for the numerous foreign guests that I met in the halls that this was going to be their impression of America!
