    I stayed at the King George Hotel for four nights in November. I found the hotel very comfortable and the staff helpful, friendly, and efficient. The hotel is conveniently located near public transportation, including the Powell BART stop. The restaurants on either side of the hotel (Lori's Diner and Cafe Mason) were good choices for breakfast. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the SFO airport, and I took advantage of that for my return trip. The shuttle is very convenient and only about $*more than the trip to the airport on BART. (I made it from the airport to the King George very easily via BART.) The only drawbacks: While the hotel does offer computer use in its lobby, it charges for the privilege. (No thanks.) I found on the fourth day of my stay that the radio in my room did not work. (But to be fair, I didn't ask the hotel to repair it.) And a nit: My room didn't have a view to speak of-- it overlooked a roof and a couple other buildings across the way. I would certainly stay at the King George again.

    What more could you want for your money! easy access to all in SF, quiet, nice services and staff and rooms were clean. Rooms are not large but we left our hearts in SF not in the hotel room, but very comfy beds!

    Stayed at the hotel for 11 days. Staff was courteous and friendly. It is an old building that is in decent condition. Rooms are not very spacious but adequate. The heater in the room seemed to be somewhat temperamental. The bed was comfortable. The location of the hotel is pretty good and it is close to Union Square and Market St and shopping areas. There are diners in close proximity which makes it convenient.
