  Although an older hotel, it was clean and cozy. We had a none smoking room that was great. It was very quiet on our floor/wing. The room was a little small and we didn't face the square, but the staff was great. Our bathroom had some wall paper peeling and there was no coffee available in the room although we could order room service. The evening meal next door to the hotel was fabulous and the service good as well. Union Square is only a short block away and there is a great place right across the street to eat breakfast. The day was beautiful and the shopping and people watching fun. We even got to observe the ice skaters and the lights being strung on the Xmas tree in the square.

  Although the service was great, the hotel itself needs updating. There were holes in the wall paper, molding missing from doorways and a general run down look to the once glamourous hotel. I had to request a room change when I first checked in. The second room was definitely a step up, but it still looked weathered.

  This hotel was wonderful. The staff was very attentive and on top of things. We got in very quickly, the room was very comfortable. I have only good things to say. I will be back.
