  This hotel had large clean rooms with free WIFI. The king size bed was very comfortable. The continental breakfast was good. The staff was friendly. Located next door to a Cracker Barrel was great as well. I would definitely stay here again.

  We stayed for two nights recently while in town to visit family. Our king sized room reserved faced a ""really ugly wall"". (the desk clerks words, not mine so we upgraded to a non smoking king suite that faced the parking lot. There were cigarette burns on the bathroom counters. The lighting was dim in the bathroom, with no exhaust fan that I could sense. Several times during our stay we had the very distinct smell of smoke in our room, once at 4 am. The staff stand directly at the front entrance smoking and literally put out their cigarettes to go inside and check you in. That being said.. the staff was VERY friendly and tried to accomodate our need for extra pillows and towels. The pillows here are TINY!! We had a king bed with four TINY pillows....some were feather, some not. Our room was quiet, the breakfast area a bit crowded and upon checkin still had the remains of the previous groups crumbs on the floor. The entrance is dingy, carpet in disprepair. It would be nice with a bit of upgrade and effort. There was a young lady outside in the parking lot at one period of time with her bags. We left for dinner and several hours later returned, and she was still sitting there, smoking cigarettes, in the shrubbery.

  Front desk staff rarely there but often out front smoking; personal hygiene poor w/staff sporting wet hair, chipped nail polish, unkept and not professional looking. Continental breakfast removed 5-10 mins. prior to time limit. We had to extend our stay by 2 nights and the Friday night rate almost doubled over weekday rate, but staff didn't alert us to that when we requested the extension, so we were shocked when we checked out. Hotel is in a bad location and hard to find.

  Lovely hotel, but not close and convenient to the asheville area, particularly as there was construction on i 40.
