I booked this hotel for 3 nights for my honeymoon. I called the hotel 3 days in advance to request for a quite room. I also mention that again at the front desk when I check in. However the front desk still offer me the first room next to the elevator. I can hear everyone who takes the elevator. So I complained and request for another room. After 15 mins of calling, they put us into another room. This time, they finally get it right. This room is much better. Overall, both of the rooms are great, clean and nice. Their breakfast buffet is great too.

I won't bore you with the restaurant/room descriptions; Suffice to say its a swanky place overall, and the staff, to a person, are friendly and courteous. But be aware of a caveat: After arriving late at night, and settling in to our non-smoking room, on a non-smoking floor, I was awakened to noise from the room next door. Stepping into the hall, I noted a sign for a ""Son's 21st birthday party"" on the door, people coming and going, cigarette smoke billowing from the room, and cigarette butts on the floor. Taking a trip downstairs to the night manager, I was assured he would ""do something if it got out of hand"" and it was really ""just a small family event"". Three hours later, around 3 AM, they must have gotten around to doing something about it, as the noise subsided, and the ""family"", (remarkable in having so many young girls with a nearly identical preference for skimpy clothing, high heels and excess make-up), finally stopped their traffic in and out of the hotel room. Later conversations with workers in the hotel yielded the real data: it is not at all uncommon for the hotel to allow parties in rooms designated for sleeping even if the room ends up trashed. Apparently, money talks. Since I don't know the specifics of the franchise business model for the Hyatt in Singapore, I can't say whom the fault for the questionable policy of allowing parties in hotel rooms next to those used for sleeping lies with: the hotel manager, the franchise owner, or the Hyatt company themselves. But I do know if you are expecting a quiet nights sleep, or a relatively smoke free room in this hotel, buyer beware. (My security/safety/cleanliness rating reflects this caveat)
