  This was a first visit to Montreal. We found the staff very personable and all staff members we met spoke English. Service was slow in the restaraunt, but food was excellent. Rooms very clean. Walls are on the thin side. You can hear everything.

  We were greeted upon our early arrival by a french speaking staff with smiles and offers of assistance at 12 Noon. The room was clean and ready for our weeks stay in Montreal. Although currently not at "Ritz" standards we found the room comfortable, clean and roomy. Parking at the Hotel was $30 per night with unlimted in-and-out service and they would pull the car up in advance if you called them. Housekeeping staff were friendly (little English spoken) and provided us with any special needs. The Hotel is possed for a complete make-over / reconstruction but there was no time frame avalable for its beginning. The bed was a bit too soft for our taste but we managed. Located near many resturants, shopping options and two blocks from the Metro, the Hotel is in a great location for any activity. My only advice is not to travel to Montreal expecting Srping until mid-May. The snow was pleantiful and the Temps averaged 28-45 degrees during our "Spring" vacation.

  I enjoyed everything about this hotel but one important item. I have a real problem with heights and before even booking the whole thing I had called and been assured that a second floor room would be available. When I arrived I was on the third floor and the front desk made no real attempt to correct the situation. I have stayed at many good hotels, the Pennisula for example, and they did everything to make me comfortable with this problem. The Ritz simply ignored it and thus made my stay one that included acute anxiety. I did not want to cause any unpleasantness but I was very frustrated that this happened. Please adivse. Thank you.

  I recently stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Montreal and had an exceptional experience. The staff was extremely friendly, spoke fluent English, and helped us book a bus tour. American Airlines lost our luggage for half of our trip which was very annoying, and the Ritz staff provided us with toiletries and other things we needed. They also brought up our suitcases as soon as they arrived. The hotel is in a prime location and within easy walking distance to all the fun night spots ( I recommend St. Catherine street and Rue Crescent for those who like to go out at night). It is also close to the Underground Mall and great restaurants. I will definitely stay here again!
  Oh, and the bed is soooo comfortable! An added plus.

  We enjoyed our stay at the Ritz Carlton. The location is perfect and there is a lot to see and do in the general area. Just blocks from St. Catherine's Street. The staff was extremely helpful and offered great suggestions for local restaurants. The Rtiz Carlton has a lovely bar area to grab cocktails before a night on the town. Would definitely stay here again on a visit to Montreal!
