    My first time in Chicago and I needed a place to stay in the loop and near the colleges. The Travelodge was perfect. First and foremost, the price was right. The building is older, but I liked it's character. Overall it was clean, the service was good and the view of the Sears Tower and downtown couldn't be beat. The two restaurants at the first floor were very good and so convenient. I plan on staying at this hotel many times, as one of my children will be transferring to a college in the area. It's a great bargain and nice location!

    Room was clean and comfortable, the Thai resturant was OK, and stayed open to a reasonable hour. Parking was $* per day across the street - seemed par for the area. At night it reminded me of the Blues Brother's room next to the elevated streetcars. Not as close, but it took some getting used to. I recommend the hotel as a close in and good value.

    We stayed here oct 15th and we had a very small room on the second floor at the end of the hall, all we heard was banging from outside until ...

    We stayed here Oct 15th and we had a very small room on the second floor at the end of the hall, all we heard was banging from outside until after 11 p.m. and then it started back up again at 7 a.m. The staff did not go out of there way to ask if we enjoyed our stay they did only what they had to do. We will not be staying here again.
