  I travel to Singapore for work pretty frequently and tried the Golden Landmark for a week. I had a smoking room with a queen sized bed and club lounge privileges. My room was on the 16th floor and had a great view of the pool area. The location is very convenient to the Bugis MRT station and quite a few bus lines. If you like shopping, there are plenty of areas in walking distances to check out. The service at the hotel is great and the staff is very pleasant and accommodating. The staff working the Executive Lounge was especially pleasant. The room was comfortable and a good size, but getting kind of old compared to a few of the hotels I have already stayed at in Singapore. I only have a couple gripes about the hotel. My room had ants in it all around the desk area, especially the coffee pot. The lighting was a little poor, notably in the bathroom. Finally, the internet access was slow and spotty, making it difficult sometimes to do my work. That is the main reason why I wouldn't come back because I know other hotels where the internet access is more reliable. Also, the price wasn't bad at all, but I know a few other hotels where I could have the same amenities for a lower price. Overall, not a bad experience and a good hotel choice for someone traveling on a budget who doesn't really need reliable internet access.

  Having to have to choose a hotel overseas was quite difficult. You never can really know what you are going to get. I checked out their personal website and it seemed nice enough. I was traveling from California to visit my fiance while he was in port. Despite the bed being very hard and uncomfortable, the price was just right for the hotel. It was not in the nicer part of Singapore, however, if you just travel a bit, you can be right in the middle of the action. The pool area was nice and it was nice they provided a free breakfast buffet which is good if you are on a budget.
