  This is my first review ever and i only wanted to comment because this great place deserved a better rep. Will def. stay again! It's perfect for the money: clean, quiet, great breakfast spread! Large parking lot, a $* cab ride to downtown Sac, friendly and courteous staff, everything in the room worked, was warm and clean, no complaints at al!!!

  We chose the Days Inn Downtown because we had stayed there a few months ago and were very pleased with the hotel and our room. Unfortunately, this time our room had bedbugs, and my husband and I are covered with bites. When we told the management, we were immediately moved, and the new room was fine as far as we could tell. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again.

  The hotel is located next to downtown with easy access to Old Town SAC. The bed was hard as a rock, the TV was fuzzy and needed to be replaced, the outside of the hotel was dirty and needed to be power washed. We also found Cockroaches in our room I th, and the cameras for security in the parking lot were broken/missing. On a positive note the rooms were newly remodeled and looked nice. They also had a nice breakfast with make yourself waffles.

  We stayed here based on the recommendations on this site. On the plus side, we found the room to be very clean. The seemed to be recent renovations and the marble in the bathroom was a nice touch. The beds were exceptionally comfortable. On the minus side, the noise from the freeway and the trains is noticeable but easily solved by turning on the air conditioner and using it as white noise. We came down for breakfast at 8:30am and most all the items were gone. The make your own waffles was a nice touch and better than your average shrink-wrapped breakfast you usually find in an economy hotel. Folks should realize this isn't the Ritz Carlton and set expectations accordingly. Overall this hotel is a well-run, excellent value.

  The staff was more than helpful, giving us great restaurant and touring advice. Room was immaculate. Free breakfast was great. The issue we had at all was the in room refrigerator froze our food, as it was turned up too high - it thawed back out quickly. I would definitely stay here again! Very good value! Wish we could find more hotels like this!
