Do not take a room in the Island Tower if they're not done with construction. Back up beepers started at 7AM and at 10 Am there were workers hanging outside my 12th floor room doing some type of construction. It was not right.

The hotel is run-down and dirty. The rooms were not very clean. Paint was peeling, the door handle to the bathroom was loose, and the bed was uncomfortable. The hotel was cheaper compared to others but after staying there I realized why.

We went for my sons football championship that the tropicana was part of the hosting. The rooms were nasty, out dated, bugs, broken lockes, mold in showers, tubs that do not drain nor sinks. The boys were playing catch on their grass and security came took down our names and stated if we were to do it again they would kick us out. It was the far worst hotel I have ever stayed.

Very cheap. Price reflects the quality of the room. We got upgraded free to a suite on our check in, which was great, on casino level which was very nice. Although the room was clean, looking at the carpet you didn't want to walk barefoot on it. It just looked like there might be somehting lurking in it. Old box TV's. Shower and bathroom were fine and clean. Bed sucks, but hey, you get what you pay for.
