  The hotel was good, but as it is undergoing a substantial renovation, the appearance was not the best. The wifi is not free--you must pay for your time to t-mobile in hour increments. The two free terminals in the lobby were nearly always being used. Nor are there newspapers delivered to rooms. Still, the waitstaff in the restaurant were excellent, even though they worked incredibly long hours. The room was comfortable, the bed good, too. The front desk staff was attentive, too. The hotel is close, very close, to a tram and train station (Station Rai) and it was convenient to get to the city center. There is no transportation between the hotel and VU and it's a vigorous 20 minute walk, so be aware if you're attending a conference there.
