  Great hotel within minutes of all the sites and shopping. The staff at the hotel was great. Excellent breakfast. They have a business center with 3 computers that you pay for by the minute which is great but they also have 2 computers free of charge in the lobby. The rooms were very nice and clean. Very nice open lobby bar. When I go back to Beijing I will stay at this hotel again!

  Hard to find a better value adjacent to the wangfujing shopping area, and Tian'anmen/ Forbidden City in a reasonable walk. Directly across from the Penninsula Hotel. Great views of the city, particularly from the Club on the top floor.The hotel is a bit dated, but quite servicable. Staff tries hard to please. Room is comparable with most urban hotels in Europe or US. But the bed is quite hard, China-style. Agree with the prior reviewer, do get the breakfast buffet included, best coffee in China, and very large selection including fresh fruit and omlettes. The restaurants for other meals are very reasonable, good, not great food and service.
  After 6pm the wangfujing sidewalk "enterpreneurs" are quite numerous and persistant, hawking anything or service you can imagine(and more); but police are plentiful. Very nice mini mall at the Pennisula Hotel, and a major new mall just 2 blocks west which will give you a peek at the new China..

  The Novotel was an extremely pleasant surprise. You can't beat the location, accomodations, and service for the price. Food & beverage is priced similarly to US prices. They are so good, they sent a Birthday cake to my room even though my Birthday was 5 days after we checked out. When does that ever happen?

  A very practical and comfortable hotel. The bed, pillows and quilt were soft and comfy. Bathroom is modern with glass partition for shower only facilities.TV, safe with combination lock,shampoo,body lotion and the menthol soap is most refreshing. The most central hotel with walking distance to Forbidden City, Tinanmen and right at doorstep of Wangfujiang. A most reasonable price hotel in the heart of the city. Make sure the breakfast is included in the package otherwise costs RMB 138 for buffet breakfast.

  The room was comfy, with a large sofa, chair, and desk. The beds were hard, and the drapes hanging down a bit. However, the room and bathroom were a good size, and the location and service were great. We had a nice bar with plenty of tea and boiling water, fridge we could use in the bar area. Slippers, gown, shampoos, bath gels etc.Price and location could not be beat.
