  I realize we went for an inexpensive room because it was only for 1 night but the cheap rooms, as far as I'm concerned, can still have a nice view. But unfortunately that wasn't the case - we had a room that overlook the room (which was not in the best of shape), mosquitoes in the room (but they provide a citronella candle and matches for your use). Room was clean - but the bathroom needs updating. Breakfast at the buffet for 2 costs $35.00 (a little extreme even though it was a nice buffet). Planes start taking off at 6:00 am and believe me you can definitely hear them. But for one night we could put up with the noise. The Sopranos's restaurant was very nice. Like I said - not great but for 1 night it was acceptable. Glad we moved on to the condo the next day at another location - that was great!!

  Wonderful vacation. staff was very friendly and the food was quite good. however, it was little annoying with all the planes after awhile. espeicially waking you up at 7 am ...

  Wonderful vacation. Staff was very friendly and the food was quite good. However, it was little annoying with all the planes after awhile. Espeicially waking you up at 7 am when you have been out all night!! I would recommed this trip to anyone though. Orient Beach is great and lots of things to do here.

  good hotel for the money, food expensive, good location, not much hotel beach (no chairs), we had fun with the planes, watch out for the sun....I ended up at the hotel doctor with a swollen face looking elephant man. Give my regards to the front desk.

  Nice hotel for the price we got through our online travel website. We obviously didn't stay at the hotel much since there were 37 beaches on the island to venture to (we saw 10 in our stay). The parking was convenient at the hotel for $5/day using their swiping card. Didn't eat there at all since there were so many other restaurants abounding the hotel. Best food by far was at the Moulin Rouge across the street (exceptional service and food) and of course the Subway was right around the corner too. There was a nice breakfast place next to convenience store across the street too that was not only good but very affordable too-- ate there every morning. The hotel is right next to airport, which made for great viewing of arrivals and departures. Best beach next to hotel is Mullet Bay, topless was ok anywhere on the island-- but for nude beaches, best of course was Orient, Happy Bay and on the far end of Bai Rouge. Overall, will be back-- had a blast and do rent a car to see island (only $20/day at Thrifty).

  The Sonesta was a nice property with a decent location. Our trip, (my husband and I) was pleasant and relaxing. We visisted during down season and felt the personal touch as a result of it being down season. The staff at the hotel was professional as expected. WARNING, do not try to use calling cards in the hotel rooms as the hotel is still charging you for connection and other fees. Overall the island is nice, the hotel can be very nice depending on where your room is located (make sure you request the renovated part of the hotel, which is the main building between the 6th and 9th floors) and the location is above average. I would recommend this hotel.
