  I cannot say enough about my stay at this marvelous hotel. The staff was attentive, courteous, helpful and extremely thoughtful. I checked in with a a family member planning to stay only for four days, but an unforseen family emergency forced me to extend my stay alone. Not only was the staff understanding and accomodating, they even provided local transportation and when they were unable to accomdate my travel needs, they taught me how to use the Marta System which saved me money and time. My family now teases me because I tell them that I have my own hotel. That's right, the DoubleTree is My hotel!

  The room was nice - although the room did reek of cigarette smoke - I think they must have a break area for their staff next to the air intake for the A/C. It didn't smell when we got in but after we went out and came back it reeked. Besides that, overall the room was nice the bed was very comfortable and it is located in a great location - close to a lot of Atlanta attractions.

  I really like this hotel. It was a little expensive. But it was nice. We had all the rooms in a row so it was fun to be close to everyone in our group. The front desk was very informative and helpful. Check in and out were speedy and accurate. They also have really good directions to popular attractions. It is on a printed sheet that they give you. The only complaint would be the restraunt in the hotel was very expensive(ecspecially the breakfast). They wanted dollars for a buffet breakfast. There is a diner just out of the parking lot(easy walking distance) that was very resonable and accomadating. So it ended up not being a big deal. The diner was open 24hr a day.

  The lobby looks great and the breakfast is okay, but if you don't get the room you reserved you are out of luck. My room reeked of smoke and there were sagging stained ceiling tiles around the ventilation system. Mildew and mold in the tub added to the ambiance. I had difficulty breathing the next morning and left as soon as I could. I will not step foot in this Hotel ever again!
