  We picked this motel because last time we stayed at the place across the street and we will never do that again. The reviews on this motel looked best so we went with this one rather than the 3rd choice that was the mid price. We were very pleased. It was out of our price range but we were not here for pleasure and had to have a motel due to daughters cancer and medical appointment. If we have to come back again we will stay here. If you are coming for any reason this would be the best choice in Jack London Square. There is a building between the hotel and the train so it is MUCH quieter here. I would imagine if you were on the water side it would be even quieter. We did hear a toddler crying downstairs in the middle of the night but that could happen anywhere. All things considered I think anyone would like this motel. I(mom) was here with daughter(13) and niece(14) and we felt safe in this motel.

  When I got to this hotel it was very nice setup. Friendly staff, excellent room and a little venues and restaurants outside. The very VERY Bad thing about this hotel is that there is a train that comes by every half and hour;even at night;. Blowing their horn every time they pass by. Its a 100 yards from the hotel so you'll wake up! You also have seagulls chirpin away as well. I was wondering why the hotel gave ear plugs on the bed. Like the hotel but if you can't sleep in it then its a waste. Don't stay here if you want a good night rest.

  This was a very nice hotel-by far the nicest in Jack London Square. I paid for a waterfront view which was so worth it. The rooms were nice-not luxurious, but very adequate. I wouldn't have been happy with a parking lot view. The staff were exceptionally helpful. I was given the wrong room when I checked in, but it was quickly taken care of. The restaurant was pricey-but everything is pricey in that area. Food was good. The ferry is very close which made traveling to San Francisco a breeze. Overall, I was satisfied with this experience.

  Had 2 wonderful experiences at the Waterfront Plaza Hotel. The staff, from the Valet to the Front Desk to the Housekeeping were wonderful. They always greeted everyone with a smile & a cheerful welcome, which included using the guests names. However, when it comes to the restaurant, Miss Pearl's Jam House, the service left a lot to be desired. The first time the service was fair to midland. My daughter couldn't even eat her breakfast due to the fact it was too greasey & a lot of oil was used. We decided to give it a 2nd chance. The second time it was horrible. The breakfast came with a choice of either toast or their flat bread. The server had assumed that I wanted their flat bread & brought it. When I asked her to bring toast instead, that I didn't want the flat bread, she demanded that I eat it. When I said I wouldn't & insisted that she bring toast instead, she finally did, when I was 3/4 of the way done with my breakfast. My daughter & I took one smell of the flat bread & pushed it aside. Not only did it look bad, it smelled bad. There are other places nearby where one can get a much better breakfast for cheaper.
