The girl at the front desk was great. Very nice. Unfortunately, she was the only good thing about this motel. The lobby isn't bad but as soon as we got on the elevator it went downhill. Cracked tiles in the elevator. Long, narrow, dingy halls with filthy carpet. The first room we were given had unmade, dirty beds. The second room looked ok but when we tried to turn on the tv it wouldn't work. I looked behind the cabinet and discovered wires hanging out of the wall and the cover was hanging loose. The third room was ok and that's where we stayed - with a sliding glass door opening onto the community patio and a pool that looked nasty. I didn't feel safe with nothing but the standard patio door lock. The hair dryer was ancient and burned out after about a minute of use. The bracket it was hanging on was filthy. And yes the train. We knew about it before we agreed to stay there so I won't count that against the hotel, but, there are plenty of other reasons not to stay there. We wished we had shelled out the extra forty bucks and stayed across the street. Never again.

have stayed here 3x's. 2005, 2007, and 2008. GETS WORSE EVERYTIME--NEVER AGAIN. cheap but not worth it. broken shower, stained sheets, rude staff, people smoking marijauna in the hallways, hard mattresses. scary people hanging around hotel. leave the hotel and you are attacked by pan handlers. trains are cool, but can make it hard to sleep. they run all night long. loud partying guests. had to pay $10 a day for parking. beware-- spend the extra money to stay somewhere nicer. two stars what a joke, more like one half star. this hotel should not be on this site.

THE ONLY THING PLEASANT ABOUT THIS HOTEL WAS THE FRONT DESK. THE HOTEL WAS DARK AND DINGY, FURNISHED IN SEARS 1950, WAS TOLD THAT THE SWIMMING POOL WAS NOT CLEAN AND SHOULD NOT BE USED, AND WAS UNINHABITABLE. THE DESK CLERK RETURNED OUR CREDIT CARD AND MY WIFE AND I LEFT FEELING PROFOUNDLY DISAPPOINTED THAT THE HOTEL WAS ON TRAVEL WEBSITE.

Well, I will say that they were friendly and tried hard. I arrived after check in time and was sent to a room that had not been cleaned. I lugged my luggage back down stairs. They scrambled to find another room. I was asked if I wanted WI-Fi. When I said yes, the young man at the desk said, ""Oh wait, I forgot... We are installing new routers. Then I was sent to another room on the same floor. I could not get the door open, so I went back down again. I was then informed the doors were ""Tricky"" and I would have perform some magic to make them open. The hospitality manager was dispatched to teach me the trick. Once in my room, I found it 'adequately"" appointed (old Motel 6), however the carpet was dirty and stained. I decided to check out the other amenities before I got comfortable. I went down to inquire about the pool - I was then informed that the pool was closed for repairs. That is when I went crazy... I went back up to ""My Room"" and called the online company... While I was on the phone with them, the front desk called and Offer me a Suite - I was hesitant, but I went to look anyway. I t was Ok so I took it. But the rest of my stay was not without incident. Let's just say I kept wondering if these people ever had guests in their hotel before...
