  This hotel was in the center of Beijing and close to everything! The subway was only about 20 meters outside the front door and since all the places to go where in close proximity, taking the subway was the best way to travel in Beijing. Also you avoid sitting in heavy traffic. Although the front desk staff were nice, there definitely was a language barrier at times but they were good about handing you a map and pointing out directions of places. This hotel had about 4 different restaurants within the hotel which was a relief when coming back to the hotel tired and hungry......and the food was excellent for Beijing! I highly reccommend the breakfast-lots of choices. If you can, add it to your hotel room when making your reservations as the price will be less at booking.

  My wife and I stayed at this hotel in February 2009 on a business trip. We enjoyed this hotel and had a better experience than at many hotels we used in China. The strong points are: location (next to subway and not far from Tiananmen Square); clean and modern (recently remodeled B-tower); cable TV with some english language programs;breakfast buffet (not cheap, but high quality); staff speak English well enough and were generally helpful; beds are firm, but comfortable (trust me, this is not the norm); free wireless internet; nice bathroom; safe provided for valuables in room. Weak points: the temperature in our room overlooking the coffee shop was hot and could not be cooled effectively (the AC blew warm air no matter the setting). Leaving the bathroom fan on helped a bit, but not enough. Note it was very cold outside, when we stayed, so not much to complain about there; the interior windows are quite well soundproofed, but the slight noise from the lobby/coffee shop could be annoying (the player piano especially -there is only so much 'Fuer Elise' one can take). While the breakfast buffet was good, the dinner buffet was disappointing, as was the hotel chinese restaurant (Utopia). The Galleria bar was deadly depressing and they messed up our drinks orders. Overall, a pretty good hotel for the price, especially the location.

  Este hotel esta muy bien situado, cerca de la estacion del tren . en la entrada del hotel hay bocas del metro por tanto es muy facil desplazarse por la ciudad. ...

  Este hotel esta muy bien situado, cerca de la estacion del tren . En la entrada del hotel hay bocas del Metro por tanto es muy facil desplazarse por la ciudad. Las habitaciones son amplias y comodas, los colchones algo duros. Hay muy buenos restaurantes en el hotel recomiendo en especial el japones y el de comida china del 2do piso. El personal de recepcion y conserges hablan bien ingles y todas las recomendaciones que nos dieron fueron acertadas. Regresaria a este hotel

  The hotel was particularly nice. The room was clean and quiet, though surrounded by two busy streets and near a busy subway in the heart of Beijing. The staff was particularly helpful in arranging tours, providing guidance re: area visits, and making recommendations. I would highly recommend this hotel particularly for people who want to be in close proximity to Tiannamen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of the Heaven, etc. All within a short taxi ride or subway ride from the hotel. I took the subway to the Beijing Zoo, too, and that was very convenient.

  Hotel was nice and beautifully decorated for christmas. staff was courteous and also spoke english. not sure how far a "short walk" is - we took the bus to tianamen square, ...
