  Metropole is in a great location. Near bus terminal and Grayline/Appian office for tours. Walking distance to many sights. Very nice hotel, lots of marble, clean and attractive. Breakfast okay, dinner expensive, but many other options close by. Beds very comfy!!

• Excellent Location, Accommodating Staff, Nice Room for the Price

  My husband and I arrived here with a booking at a local hostel/hotel that I had stayed at before, but the "room" we were given resembled a converted storage closet with a bunk bed and no bathroom. The next morning I visited the Metropole a few blocks down the street, and the front desk personnel IMMEDIATELY gave us a nice room. For just * euros per night, we got a/c, free breakfast buffet, wonderful shower, and the most comfortable bed. Minibar, too. We were within walking distance of the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, and the Spanish Steps, plus many more sights. Also two blocks from Termini. They hired a car for us to the airport at the end of our stay. Kudos to these guys, they went out of their way to help when we were basically tossed in the trash by the other "hotel".
