Over all the hotel rooms were fine. We paid for an upgrade on our room so we would be above 9th floor, but were told we didn't so they put us on the 6th floor. I had read there was a $ fee to park, but instead it was $ a day. If I were to go back, I would not stay so close to Falls as everything is very very expensive there. In fact I would probably just stay in the U.S.A. and travel to the Canadian side for the day. It is more beautiful than the US side, but for what we did and especially what we paid for meals etc, we could have traveled back and forth between the 2 sides and saved alot of money.

Originally booked courtyard view, which was actually a view of the the parking lot. When I questioned it they stated thats what they consider the courtyard. The rooms were not in the main hotel they were off to the side like a motel. The room was in bad condition and really needed updated. Chipped paint, mildew in the bathroom, bathroom door was broken, carpet was in bad shape, and bed like a rock. I did get an update but not without paying extra the room was better but the bed was the same. The hotel stated it had a gift shop but it when asked they stated they do not have a gift shop anymore they just havent take the sign down. The indoor pool room was way too hot, it was uncomfortable to sit and watch the kids swim.

We checked in to hotel and was to stay on the 10th flr. We were upgraded to the 12th flr. at no additional charge. Check in was smooth and easy. We had the best view of both falls. The fireworks were the best from the 12th flr. We were disappointed about not having a way to watch videos in the room nor was there away to get full access to the website as stated. You had to find point in the lobby to get a connection. Never encountered this in other out of country hotels. Rooms were clean and comfortable for the price. Would stay again.

My problem with this place is that you definitely do NOT get what you paid for. It was a rude shock for us when we first drove up to the hotel. The hotel lobby is tiny and there were crumbs on the carpet. The corridors that lead to the rooms are dark and dingy. The rooms can be access from the parking area that is shared with Applebees, without having to go through the hotel lobby, hence providing NO security for guest. We were given a room at the hotel's extension which looks and feels like a motor lodge. The room is old, is one of the few rooms I've stayed in that does not have a coffee maker and our heater did not work very well, leaving us feeling cold in the middle of the night. Finally, though the hotel provided free coffee at the lobby, the coffee area was dirty, the don't stock tea and worst, coffee was so diluted that we went next door, to a starbucks and paid 4 dollars for one. This is the first time, in all my years of traveling, that I would look across the street to the Comfort Inn and wished I had chosen to stay there instead.

Good Value. Clean hotel and helpful staff. Stayed on second floor and had a partial view of Canadian Falls. No continental breakfast. Close to attractions near the Horshoe Falls. Good choice if you plan on spending much time in the room. Good restaurants nearby (some in walking distance).
