Typical InterContinental with excellent rooms and service. Location is good with everything within easy walking distance. Concierge is excellent. You get what you pay for and that certainly is the case here. The only area that could use improvement would be the service in the cafe. Very poor.

We just returned from our trip to London and stayed there 5 days. The Hotel is placed very conveniently around city's best sights: Buckingham Palace, long parks, the tube (train), etc. We loved it, but we were troubled why we didn't have a cover sheet for 2 days. Only the bottom bed sheet was on and the covers. We thought it was an England ""thing"", but then on day 3 we had a cover sheet placed! Very weird. We had to changed our room because when we opened the curtains, we could see our neighbors (to the right and left of us) so we had to closed the curtains that entire day. We felt in a cave with no views to enjoy. So I called and changed it to another room on the front of the hotel with views. They were really nice about it. Ah, they also come in the afternoons to 'open your beds for the night', and placed slippers on the floor next to the bed every night. Nice touch. But don't touch ANYTHING from the little bar (a can of coke is 4.50 pounds or 9 US dollars EACH!) we ended up paying 18 dollars for 2 cans of coke that night. I do recommend this hotel, it was very nice indeed!
