  They lie to you about the $* credit, you have to go through a time share type, and the coupons are 10% here, 15% there etc... beer is limited 2 per ...

  They lie to you about the $* credit, you have to go through a time share type, and the coupons are 10% here, 15% there etc... Beer is limited 2 per adult in room. Always the wrong order for in room service. Family I attended with got a suite, and when we asked they said we couldn't we had to pay for it. They got there's for free. They are just a bunch of "BS", but other than that Employees and Staff around the resort were amazing. Would not stay there.

  I cant seem to find anything bad to say about this resort. Excellent staff, room, food, drinks. I got it for a steal and it was an excellent vacation. I would stay again but the price has been almost doubled and I am a lil spoiled now for the price i got it for..

  I loved this place, very clean, family oriented, no complaint at all. good food and very helpful the staff and very good service.

  Great trip....hotel staff was excellent. However, I will never use Travel online again. My wife made our reservations on the internet, as she spoke with a travelocity employee. We were having trouble finding a hotel that would accomodate 5 (wife and I and 3 kids)...the traval employee found the El Cid resort and walked my wife through the process. We booked a family room for 5....and were told we paid in full. Our credit card was charged in full for 5 people at the time of booking. Much to our surprise, when we arrived and checked in.....the Hotel clerk informed us that travelocity had sent them an email (he showed it to me) that said we had in fact only paid for 2 adults and we owed 1094 dollars for our kids. I called travelocity and they said it was my fault, that even though I was told I paid in full, I should have read the hotel policy ..that stated all rooms were per person double occupancy. I told him that travel online found this Family room for us and assured us we had paid in full...I have paperwork that states: Paid in Full! He told me if i didnt like it to talk to their customer relations when I got back. Thanks a lot. If they knew I owed more money, why didnt they bother to tell me...they emailed the hotel, but not me. So I show up with X amount of dollars for excursions and find out I owe over 1000 dollars! What a great job! The hotel did work with me, they told me they have had many problems with travel online, and a few families that were staying there the same week as us had exactly the same problem. I will never use Travel online again.

  What a relaxing and refreshing experience! El Cid staff and accomodations were all that the advertisement stated. The staff was welcoming, available, and friendly. They truly made sure your every wish was accomodated. The suite and grounds were very clean. The food was plentiful with a large variety for all tastes. The spa was oh so relaxing and such a stress reliever! You must experience the hydro spa! The best was the never ending drinks on the beach! My boys enjoyed the opportunity to participate in the various activities but chose the beach and the pool. The night shows were spectacular - from the Mexican dancers to the fire show to the saxaphonist by the lobby bar and the magic show for all ages! We loved it and will be back for Sister's Weekend, Couples Retreat, but most importantly our family vacation! Thank you for the great experience El Cid! You done good!
