    My wife and I booked a last-minute trip to Vail and decided to stay at the Vail Plaza based on the other Travelocity reviews. We were very impressed with the attentive, friendly service of the front desk upon arrival and at checkout. The room was nicer than expected and very clean. Overall, we came away very impressed with the hotel. It has an easy in-and-out location, right at the entrance to Vail Village and right near several shops and restaurants. The only disappointement was because we visited "off-season" - and their upscale restaurant and the bar on property were closed.

    Our visit to the Vail Plaza Hotel exceeded our expectations. The staff always went above and beyond when responding to our requests. The room was spotless, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The location was perfect. We will certainly make the Vail Plaza our first choice when we are visiting the Vail area. The Bacco bar was cozy, and the attendent was great.

    The Vail Plaza Hotel & Club is exactly how it looks on the picture shown from Travelocity. I want to say that my boyfriend and I had the best 3 days for ending the Summer. The Hotel is styled as a Italian cabin feel. The room and bathroom was nice and clean. The staff was great in directing us to the best sight seeing and best deals. The pool is small w/ 3 hot tubs. The Hotel is right on the corner when entering Vail. They do Valet for $* a day, which we did NOT do, we parked at the town vistor parking garage for FREE further down the street. Since we went in Mid August, the temperature was in the 90's but you could not feel it Hot, it was nice perfect weather with cool breezes. At night is another story, it would get as low as 60. Right behind the hotel, there is a daily bus/ shuttle that passes every 5 minutes to take you into Lionshead (the town next door), east & west Vail for free and it runs all the way till 12 am. Vail is hidden jewel stop in Colorado, it honestly feels like you are in another country. In 3 days, we went hiking, bike riding, drove up a mountain 11 miles up (Piney River Ranch) to canoe, horseback ride and rode the Gandola up the mountain for an awesome view (there is even a restaurant up there!). The drive is long, but it is well worh it. My advise to anyone going to Vail in the Summer, take sneakers, shorts, jeans and night clothes for the bars. Majority of all the restaurants close at 9 or 9:30 pm, and they are reasonable in pricing. Loved this place!

    This is a very nice Hotel with good service. The building is beautiful and well maintained. I enjoyed their breakfast buffet which was included in the room fee. The buffet was quite good. The room was nice and comfortable. I used the hot tub which is outdoors and small and is more than adequate. The hotel is on the town shuttle and it is easy to get to the gondola in Lionshead. The shuttle stop is literally right out in front of the hotel and the gondola is about 5 minutes away by shuttle which runs frequently. I would stay here again. The hotel is pricey, but I think it is worth the money. I wish there was some way to get around the parking fee.

    Beautiful room for the cost and overall, great service. Going during the off season was quiet and peaceful. The room was beautiful with a great view of the pool and mountains. The only inconvience was when I asked for a late check out. The hotel was half empty and we were only given 1 hour extension. We were going to use the spa services but did not because of the earlier check out. It cost the hotel extra revenue due to the lack of flexibility. Al things considered we highly recommend the hotel.
