  My fiancee and I stayed at the Sonesta Great Bay mid-August 2009. Overall, the hotel is merely acceptable. Rooms are clean and decent sized. If you are not all-inclusive, spend your time elsewhere as food and drinks are overpriced.

  My wife and i stayed there for 5 nights in August of 2009. This is off season and the resort was not that crowded. We booked the package on travel on line - when we checked in, we were asked for payemnt. I showed them my reservation confirmation, indicating that it was already paid, and that resolved this issue. upon being handed our room key, i said this is am ocean view room correct. The clerk informed me that that cost more money - i showed him again my reservation confirmation indicating an ocean view room, and this was resolved. The room was great,, average size, nice bathroom a balcony and a great view of the ocean and pool. Housekeeping did an excellent jo keeping our room clean. Someone from engineering department helped me get my suitcase open, which was damaged by the airline. The only meals we ate at the resort was breakfast each day. The resort advertised a buffet breakfast from 7:00 until 10:30 each morning. We usually arrived around 10:00 and found very little, or old looking food left. On my last day there, when i arrived at 10:10, there was virtually nothing left. When i complained to the restaurant manager, he infomed that the buffet was closing in 10 minutes. When i asked if i could just get some fruit (all the watermelon and canteloupe was gone), he informed me that they would have to cut up new pieces of fruit which would then be thron away since the buffet was closing in 10 minutes. I guess i was nit important enough to them to make me happy Overall, the resort was very nice, asside from the two items mentioned above. I have been a Hilton employee for 20 + years, and know how important customer service is!

  We had the best time at this hotel. The room was beautiful with all the dark wood. The service was top notch. Meals were very good. It is right on the water. It has a nice casino in the lobby!!!!! Our only disappointment was that there was no refrig in the room, we were unaware that this item had to be pre ordered in the room for an extra charge.

  I stayed at Great Bay from February 2 through 7. The place was wonderful, clean and I was impressed with the service. Towel service twice a day. Great food while overlooking the ocean. The employees were friendly and accommodating. I will definetly retrun next year, for a longer period of time.
