My daughter and I stayed here a couple weeks ago from Aug 7 to 11. The resort is beautiful, the customer service was a mixed bag. Eveyone was courteous for the most part except for a few. Room service lacked a little as fresh towels were forgotten on one day and in room coffee condiments were not refreshed on one. When we called it took at least a half hour and a second phone call to get what we needed. Going home there was no taxi available to get back to the airport and we pretty much had to demand one which then came right away. The worst was beware of the hotel cash machine, it ate my daughters card!! The hotel really did nothing to compensate either and I just wrote a letter to the manager. I know it sounds terrible, but we loved the place!!!! The food was good, the pool and beach was nice. We had a superior room and that was fine. The spa and spa staff were wonderful. And yes, we would go back. I'm just hoping the manager comps us something for the cash machine experience. Good luck!

My husband and I chose this hotel for a quick getaway 5 nights. We rented a car so it would be easy to roam the island and not have to pay a taxi fare each time. We did get lost trying to find the hotel as some of the maps the car rentals provided are not clear. The island is a big circle so if you get lost, you eventually end up where you started and once you do, you realize "Wow I've been here before" so you find your way back. This hotel in particular was hard to find for us as first timers b/c there aren't big signs to direct you where to go. If you aren't looking for the sign that read Radisson you will get lost. However, if you decide to not rent, then definitely no worries. The hotel itself is beautiful, exactly what the pictures show, in the cove. The ride into the hotel is a bit scary, at least for me it was. You go up a hill, then down a hill, then up again, then down again, so if you aren't used to these type of roads, just close your eyes, as I did. There isn't much to do nearby. the restaurants on the property are expensive and there are 2 restaurants across the way. The Calypso was excellent, the pizza is brick oven so a MUST try for all. However, the italian restaurant is HORRIBLE. Its called The Locanda, a waste of $75, not pricey but service is TERRIBLE. The girl that works there is too busy socializing rather than providing great service and the food, not so great. The hotel is clean, staff is AWESOME and helpful, whatever you need, they def provide.

Just came back from my honeymoon, and I highly recommend staying at this beautiful haven! (wish I was back already!) Secluded within the Anse Marcel cove, the beach was gorgeous (clean too!). (The pool was lovely too, if that is your preference.) The staff even came on the beach to help us fix the umbrellas and provide grapes in the afternoon. It was truly surprising the pictures on the web matched what we saw! The hotel was clean, and the staff & service could not have been better. There was service in the morning, and a turndown service (fresh towels, bed made) again at night. Everyone was so accomodating! The restaurants were great too. I was wary initially since everyone told me there were more things to do on the Dutch side, but we rented a car for the week ($125 for 4 days!) to get around & had no issues. Love, love this hotel!

Very picky traveler was pleasantly surprised with the Radisson. 4 stars is very appropriate. Location, view, layout of property was awesome. Very tranquil, relaxing with great amenities. Room was spacious, clean, great bathroom and balcony. Breakfast was incredible, HUGE buffet with everything you could want. I was very impressed and will definitely return. No need to look for any other accomodations, Radisson is hands down the BEST in St. Maarten. TIp: if renting a car during your stay get a jeep. some of the roads around the island are steep with potholes. Small economy style cars are not that feasible roaming around the island.

My daughter and I just returned from St. Martin and had a wonderful week at the Radisson. We are from the United States, TN and GA. The hotel is gated behind two security huts. The lobby is open aired so the tropical breezes can blow through. The landscaping and furnishing is top notch. There is no gift shop so make sure you bring everything you'll need. There is a small convenience shop across the driveway and a couple shops, but you can't buy much. We had friends on the island who brought us wine and an electrical converter as there were none provided in the hotel. They also brought us cell phones to use on the island with prepaid minutes so we could phone home. Our AT&T iPhones were turned off because the data that they would download would have been very expensive. The hotel did have Hot Spots in the lobby and at the pool so we could check our email by setting our phones to WiFi instead of 3G. We did rent a car one day through the Hertz stand in the lobby for $54 total for 24 hours. We rented it mid-day so we'd have it for an afternoon and then the following morning. Grand Case is a quick 15 minute drive away. They have good island shopping (not as great at Phillilpsburg) and great restaurants. Hotel has a great breakfast buffet that satisfied us thru dinner. Their restaurants are VERY expensive. Every dinner with glasses of wine was over $100. There is an Italian restaurant across the driveway that is EXCELLENT and a small restaurant outside the compound to the left that offers delivery of some menu items, including $15 pizzas. Everywhere took dollars although prices are in Euros. 4 Stars from us!!!
