  Great place! We only stayed at this hotel for one night, but it was a wonderful stay. The room was clean & comfy and customer service was very curteous. I forgot to bring a book with me and since all the stores nearby were closed, the front desk had me choose a book from their lost & found. Complimentary breakfast could have been a little better, but it was enough to at least start the day. There was a charge for parking and because it was in the older part of the downtown area, we really had no choice but to pay for valet.

  Service and rooms were fine, breakfast typical for this class of hotel (nothing really that I would eat, but my friend liked the muffins).only problem is that the neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but the public transportation is close and excellent, and gastown is only a few blocks away.

  This was my 2nd time to Vancouver and I had stayed in an amazing timeshare the 1st time. I must admit that when I booked this Ramada I was fearful that it wouldn't compare but I did so only trusting the other reviewers. The idea that it gets only 2 stars from online travel website may steer you away but our room was absolutely perfect. We were there for 4 nights and I don't have a single complaint. The room was recently remodeled. The bedding was well cared for, the maid service was attentive, our view wasn't bad and I loved the added security features when it came to utilizing your room keys to have access to elevators and stairs, not to mention they have free wi-fi with a fast connection. My best review is for the concierge. Wow! So friendly and accomodating. They got us on all the right buses in all the right stops. One guy in particular, a young man with glasses was the best!!!!! I'm very picky about cleanliness and esthetics and this place exceeded my expectations.

  The hotel is just one block off the Gastown district, which is convenient but also close to some less than desirable parts of the city. That is the only negaitve comment. The desk personnel were fabulous, valet helpful, and the facilities remarkably like many European hotels. The breakfast room in the basement was particularly continental, and the meal was quite sufficient. We even had a whirlpool tub in our room and did not request it. For the price, could not be beat!

  We spent 3 nights here and were very pleased. The first room we were assigned smelled smoky (it is a non-smoking hotel), but they quickly moved us to another room which turned out to be a MUCH better room - larger, corner, with water views and windows that opened. Valet forgot to get our car once, but otherwise everything was exceptional, and at a VERY good price. If you prefer the sleek, new, all glass high rise hotels, this one isn't for you. But if you want a little taste of ""old Vancouver"" while still keeping modern amenities, this one is it. The highspeed internet service here was the best we experienced on our trip, including more expensive hotels in LA, Irvine, and Seattle. Breakfast was only so-so, and crowded and room was too warm, but there is a little cafe across the street (""Smile"") that serves a very nice variety of breakfasts at reasonable prices. Also, the Yagger Bar & Grill next door has good food & friendly service - and the best fries we have had in years! Location is right on the border between nice, downtown area and somewhat seedy area, but convenient for walking to sights, shopping, and trolleys during the day.
