  We had a one night stay on the way to whistler. the good....the rooms were small but clean. now the bad... we were told not to leave our baggage ...

  We had a one night stay on the way to Whistler. The good....the rooms were small but clean. Now the bad... We were told not to leave our baggage in our locked car in their small parking lot. "If the baggage could be seen from the window, don't leave it there". This is not the best part of town. Neither I nor my wife and 2 friends felt safe. They advertise that this is in the "heart of the Entertainment District", that means that the Penthouse Club was next door across the parking lot. that's a fact. Our view was of an old motel building. My wife would not open the shades due to the characters hanging out the windows. If you want cheap, try the airport area.

  For a reasonable price, we had a corner room with three large windows and a jacuzzi tub. The hotel serves a complimentary breakfast in the charming Irish pub downstairs. There's a computer in the lobby that guests can use for 15 minutes at no charge (or longer if no one's waiting.) We left our luggage in the luggage room while we went to Vancouver Island for one night - again at no charge. The staff were friendly and helpful. At first the neighborhood looked pretty unglamorous, but there's a lively night life & we became fond of the funkiness, compared to all the shiny new highrises elsewhere.

  If you stay for only a day, you can find someplace more expenicve, if you stay for a few days, you should go for this one because the rate is very reasonable. Location is in the center of Downtown, you can get around without cars. This was my first time travel to Vancouver , I was able to get around and did all the sign seeing myself in one and a half day. Room is pretty small, but who care because you are out most of the time, the room is so clean, bedding so comfortable, for most people would love, I kind of think the comforter is too heavy but OK, I was sore. My room was one Queen bedroom and has Jacuzzi Tub which is a plus, I really enjoy that. This hotel has the best room and food for complimentary breakfast. I almost missed the breakfast because in my experiences form the other hotels, I wouldn?t care for complimentary breakfast, good thing I went to check in the last hour, they are very well organized, excellent room, food and service, it is free but things are better then you pay at the restaurant, it is so unbelivable. I would suggest the Hotel Mgmt. to post the complimentary breakfast environment pictures on-line for everyone to see.

  the staff was always very friendly and helpful- calling cabs, restaurant suggestions, directions, etc. breakfast was consistently well stocked and monitored by employees. lots of clubs in the area but no noise made it up to our 3rd floor room. overall, no complaints and very happy with the value.

  The Comfort Inn in Downtown Vancouver was clean and well kept. The bed was comfortable. The room was quite small, but since we didn't spend much time there it wasn't an issue. The morning breakfest (included) in the pub next door was great, with waffles, cereal, bagles, toast, fruit, juice, coffee, etc. There was Wifi available, but I could not get it to work on my computer, but was able to connect with via ethernet cable. The parking was limited and cost $14/day, which was not something we counted on. All in all, it was a very good deal for the money. Yes, I would definitely stay there again.
