  Pretty room and bathroom. comfortable and classy. great bed linens. never got room service for breakfast. had to go downstairs ( i think they comped me, not sure) but ...

  pretty room and bathroom. Comfortable and classy. Great bed linens. never got room service for breakfast. Had to go downstairs ( i think they comped me, not sure) but we got late as a result. Very slow in getting my luggage from storage (over half an hour!) and very slow in getting my car out of valet parking. Nice front desk staff, but they seem a little harried.

  We stayed five days. The room was clean and the shower exceptional. The room was exceedingly small for two persons . . . not space for room service for sure. The hotel is remote viz Times Square & Downtown. The view from the window was a roof & brick wall. There are better deals at luxury hotels with better rooms and location.

  Good stuff: hector at the front desk gave us an awesome upgrade because we were traveling for my sister's birthday - way more than i had hoped for! nice design ...

  Good stuff: Hector at the front desk gave us an awesome upgrade because we were traveling for my sister's birthday - way more than I had hoped for! Nice design in the lobby, and very comfy beds. However, I probably won't stay here again for the following reasons: No matter the hour of the day, not once did we walk through our floor or the lobby and NOT see someone cleaning, or trash bags sitting on the floor or a door to a utility closet open or something maintenance oriented! How is it that other hotels can seem to take care of all this subtly, but not the Carlton?! Service was pretty poor (except for Hector): We were told to call the front desk for tea one night when room service had ended. They said they'd be right up with it.... I'm still waiting for it. There was rarely a doorman, when there was, he was standing INSIDE, not helping with the revolving door - and forget about anyone getting a cab for you. The restaurant looked so-so online before we arrived but it was always totally deserted at closed at 10:30pm so not so much an option for a nightcap. Weird that there was no turn down service, no bottled water in the rooms, no minibar, ... not even in our 2 room suite!! Carlton, head north about 30 blocks to see how the Midtown hotels do things - you could learn a few things!

  We stayed here after being relocated from the roger williams due to lack of vacancies...very nice, clean, contemporary room....big tv, amazing bed, beautiful marble bathroom! just dont order ...

  My daughter and i went to nyc for a family event and we shared a room. we got a great price from travel website! the hotel was clean and elegant ...

  My daughter and I went to NYC for a family event and we shared a room. We got a great price from travel website! The hotel was clean and elegant and the staff was very nice. I did however get rattled when I received a bill for room service. Breakfast for 2 was $70. The food was delicious, but not worth that much money. On the whole we enjoyed our stay and it was in a great location for sight seeing! I would stay there again in a heart beat.
