  I checked in late at night and was too tired to try and find another hotel so I did stay here at Econo Lodge. What a mistake I made. The ceiling in the room was missing plaster, the mud tape and mud from between the sheet rock pieces. The sheet rock that was there was water stained. The cover for the fire sprinkler was missing. This was supposedly a non-smoking room, why were there cigarette burn marks on the bathroom sink? When we got up the next morning, my wife and son told me they were itchy from the bedding. The ""Continental Breakfast"". Only cereal or muffins. The cereal, milk, bowls and spoons were in 4 different oarts of the room. No organization. Mickey D's never looked better. Never again!

  I made reservations the day before we arrived for the Thanksgiving Holiday. We were staying for four days. The hotel was wonderful. The staff was very attentive to our needs and went out of their way to make sure we had a nice visit. When we arrived at the hotel, we asked for a ground floor, and at 9:30 pm we got a ground floor non smoking room. The rooms were big enough that we could walk around the two beds. It also helped that the hotel was with in walking distance from Wal Mart. I could not have asked for a nicer hotel in which to stay at.

  I made the reservation online about two weeks prior to the actual check in the day of I called just to verify the correct room was being reserved there were several things wrong with the reservation [ex: Smoking room instead of NON-smoking room] the receptionist made the changes over the phone. Later when I went to check in I did take my dog with me to just leave off my luggage so that I did not need to leave her home unattended in doing so the receptionist immediately ASSUMED that she'd be staying with me and VERY rudely informed me of a $10.00 daily Pet fee. I informed her that she would not be staying with me in the room, she dropped the subject. I did bring with me my own towels and soap and several other amenities, I also kept the room very clean and so did not need to have house cleaning clean my room after three days of not having them clean my room I got a phone call at about 8am from the receptionist telling me that if after check out there were any signs of an animal in my room my credit card would be charged the pet fee. Then the next day there was a paper slid under my door informing me that "after 12pm your room will NOT be cleaned." I have stayed at several hotels over the past three years due to college and having to move around NEVER have I been attempted to be put in a position where I actually felt like just getting my money back and moving to another hotel. I would NEVER stay at this particular Econo Lodge again.
