  I have stayed at this hotel before but the hotel has taken a turn for the worst, is time they change the carperting, also remove mildew from the walls in the hallway and in the rooms. My balcony had standing water from backed up draining system, only 1 elevator working and bulbs thru out hall way were blown out.

  I stayed in this hotel last year for Miami Basel. I have stayed at Days Inn hotels all over the U.S., so I was expecting a clean, efficiently run hotel. Where do I begin? One or the other of the two elevators were always out of service for the entire time of my 10-day stay. This meant that you either had to wait 15 minutes for an up or down elevator, or walk the 6 flights of stairs. I felt sorry for the elderly guests. The room was dirty. No--filthy. The windows of my room overlooking the ocean were so grimy and greasy that I asked them to be cleaned. They never were. The carpeted floor was so disgusting that I wore flip flops in the room rather than going barefoot. There was a layer of dirt or dust on the clothes rack in the closet so I decided to NOT unpack my clothes. My office sent me a fax, and although I repeatedly told the front desk clerk that a fax had arrived for me, she refused to check, stating that no fax had arrived (her English was barely passable). Finally, when the manager came on duty, I asked him to check and lo and behold, there was a fax sitting on the clearly visible fax machine. The document had been sitting there all day.

  First off, let me say that I don't like to spend alot of money on a room where I will only sleep. A clean bed and bathroom and I am happy. However, this place is a dump. It smelled as if a cat urinated in the hall on the floor where we stayed. The shower ran the gambit from freezing to boiling while showering. The water pressure went from a trickle to a deluge while in the shower as well. Needless to say we set records for the fastest showers.There is no continental breakfast, the breakfast buffet is $ per person. The worst was that the hotel does not have it's own parking. You read that right. You must pay another hotel to use it's lot or make sure you keep enough money in the meter on the street ;the meters are free until 9am.

  hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was within walking or short cab distance to good food and shopping. The hotel room ocean view was spectacular, bed was comfortable, air condition worked well. the bathroom on the other hand could have used some cleaning and updating but it gave us what we needed in a bathroom.

  Location fanrtastic, no parking but large outside city parking available USD $15 a day (no in out) right at corner 50 yards away.. Staff helpful, still do not understasnd why i paid $10 more for ar 'standard room... POOL Side aweful not clean, smoked in , and the bathroom looked like somebody died there and they poured bleach to clean it up...Standard room 2nd floor a little better; A/C a clunker noise but cold, could not filter out ourside spot light into room, no view. Paid $20 upgrade to Ocean View on 8th Floor..awesome view. Room run down, bath room not the cleanest. But good value.. Came down with norovirus (like cruise ships) now over it as I write this review. This p[lace has seen its better days 20 years ago. I would not be suprised if dropped from "Days Inn" and it sees a wrecking ball..
