  I stayed at the La Quinta ( for a week while visiting a friend, and enjoyed the motel very much. It has a What-a-Burger and an Applebees just up the street, it's next door to an Enterprise car-rental agency, and the 16-screen theater is just a few doors down. Padre Island is a relatively close drive. Maid service times were unpredictable, but I'm fairly certain the staff would have accommodated special requests in regard to this. The staff I dealt with was without exception helpful and friendly. When I return to the area, I will stay again and will appreciate the Beauty Rest mattresses they'll be installing soon. Overall, an enjoyable experience (and good breakfasts each morning including make-your-own Belgian waffles).

  My room was perfectly clean. The people are friendly, the bed was comfy, the ac was cold. My room didn't come with free butler service, though- so maybe I can complain about that... haha. I love to fish, and my wife loves to shop. The front desk people gave me directions to the pier and my wife directions to some nice little shops too. They know their stuff and even though they were busy, they took the time to make sure we got it right. Next time we make the trip we'll definitely stay here.

  We stayed at this location early october 08. This is the cheapest decent place we've stayed. Our room was very clean, and when the ac went out, we were moved into a new room immediately. We even got a follow up call that night and then again the next morning to make sure everything was ok. The staff has always been pleasant and knowledgeable about local attractions. This is a good location with easy access. I was a bit worried about the traffic noise, but in the end there wasn't anything to be worried about. We weren't bothered at all by the traffic. For the affordability of this place I am soooo pleased with the service and quality of the room. The fact that pets are welcome is just the icing on the cake. We have been to other hotels where you are charged a deposit for pets and then the room is stinky and not well kept- that is not the case with this place. We will always stay here- unless we win the lotto and buy a summer house in Corpus.

  Bad roach problem. Did not have clean sheets on the bed when we arrived. Had to ask for cleaning people to clean our room. They accept pets, but did not have much grass for them.

  Cigarette butt on floor of non-smoking room. upper railing on walk way not secure. way nicer places to stay for the same money.
