  When I arrived, the marquis in front of the hotel showed a price $5.00 under the rate I got on a travel site. The room was a bit run down (managed to get four small puncture wounds in my foot from the rug nailing strip between the bathroom and main living quarters (this was room 306). The room could have been cleaner but I'd read reviews on this site and wore flip-flops...especially after the ""nail"" experience. There were some hairs in the tub that weren't mine and dark moldy areas around the tub enclosure. On leaving there was an accident on the Transmountain Freeway which caused Interstate 10 to be closed. The clerk was fantastically helpful in securing a map and routing me around the congestion. She also provided the location for the ""best gas prices in El Paso."" Since I'm traveling alone, I'd stay there again. I know what to expect and can take cautionary steps. However, I'd advise: ""ALWAYS CHECK THE PRICE ON ARRIVAL"" no matter what website you use.

  The building looks good, but once inside, the carpets are worn, the beds make noise and you can feel the springs in the mattress. The rooms are almost spartan in amenities. They are a nice size though. The staff was a definite killer though. They acted like they didn't like their jobs. One was busy trying to check in a group that just came in and the other was standing their watching him. They placed us on the third floor as far from the elevator as you could get. It was either haul luggage and kids up three flights of stairs, or all the way down the hallway. Not a good choice for either. Switches that were broken in the room had not been replaced and the carpets left a black dirt on my kids socks. It was convenient to anything on the west side of El Paso.

  Good nightly rate, but needs improvement. we were told that we could rent a mini fridge and microwave, but have yet to see the micro. the water in the pool ...

  Good nightly rate, but needs improvement. We were told that we could rent a mini fridge and microwave, but have yet to see the micro. The water in the pool is usually too cold to swim. I have to admit, the staff did tolerate my family, there are 3 adults and 6 children. Not once did they complain about the noise of the kids. I don't think I would recommend this for a large family.

  We booked with this hotel because it offered a pool and baby cribs for the room. Upon arrival, the pool was closed and then when it was opened, it was obivious it hadn't been cleaned in a LONG time. The crib we were told would be available first didn't exist, then was substituted for with a playpen. It seems like a bare-bones kind of establishment, and we had to ask for towels as there was only one in the room when we arrived, but the people are friendly and the rooms were clean.
