  Arrived on a white christmas eve.....loved the anticipation of the 2 mile ride up the mountain..... the hotel looks like a european resort ....the views were breathtaking.......very attentive ...

  Arrived on a white Christmas Eve.....Loved the anticipation of the 2 mile ride up the mountain..... The hotel looks like a european resort ....The views were breathtaking.......Very attentive staff....Great room service.....Food was excellent and never dissapointing......Loved the afternoon tea/cookie hour with two blazing fireplaces....The spa was unbelievable and alone worth the trip....Top nouch staff, prices a little high but worth the $$$......Loved the outdoor spa......Hotel activities were mostly outdoors... ice skating, snow shoeing, cross country sking, hiking and tubing......There is even a huge barn museum with 140 years of history, which I found to be very educational and historic......Only a small walk from the barn is a beautiful Green House, with nice gift shop where you can purchase plants ......I can't wait to go back to experience what summer is like.

  Our family has stayed at the Mohonk Mountain House before Christmas for several years now. It has become one of our favorite mini-vacations. We travel with five families, consisting of 10 adults and 12 children. The children's ages range from 2-19, and there is absolutely something for everybody here. The hotel is HUGE, exploration possibilities are endless in the hotel as well as outside on the grounds. We have stayed in several room types - suites, large tower rooms, singles. Many rooms have working fireplaces and balconies. There are no TV's in the bedrooms, but that adds to the charm. The decor is top quality old-fashioned, love it. There are tons of hiking trails, a great day program for children, and several great shops on site. The lake is awesome, and boats are available. You'll enjoy tea and cookies, and scheduled activities daily. The spa is AMAZING, not like any I have visited before. Our families enjoyed the meals the most though. Dinner is formal, and boys/men are required to wear a jacket. Breakfast, lunch and dinner has some of the finest food I've ever eaten. Staff is attentive, helpful and efficient. I would stay here any time.

  This is a place to experience! The grounds are spectular. We've come here before for a day trip and decided to spend the first night of our honeymoon here. We were disappointed to leave so soon. One day was not long enough to really enjoy the environment. If you are looking for a place to stay busy or slow down without having to leave the premises this is the place. The only issue we had was we felt like they were trying to push us out before we had to leave. Check out is at 2pm and they want your luggage by 12 and suggest coming to clean before 2pm. We are looking forward to returning and staying longer.
