  My finance and I came here for a weekend get-away. The room was great: comfortable bed (I'm picky on this one), nice arrangement of the suit, great TV set (have to concur with the other reviewer). The interesting twist? We didn't talk to a staff person a single time during the stay - not even a brief hello. The reservation was through Travelocity -- no talking there. Then, on arrival, there was a kiosk for express check-in. I swiped my credit card to confirm my identity, and the machine promptly spit out two room keys and a receipt showing the room number. I parked the car in the free parking lot, and then we walked past the front desk to the elevators and up to our rooms. The next morning, we had a decent free continental breakfast and sat at the bar. The person behind the bar never said hello. We went back to the rooms, showered and packed, then did the express check out over the TV, and left. I've never experienced this before. In fairness, the staff was there to help if necessary. I observed the staff interacting with other guests who had questions or needs, and they seemed friendly and helpful. In the last several years, it's become possible to by gasoline and groceries without human to human interaction. One can even buy an IPOD from a vending machine. Now it's hotel rooms too! I wonder if this is the future of hotel service? Perhaps future travelers will complete their complete stay without any one-on-one human contact, and have to rely on on-line tech support from another country? I hope not. But whatever the future holds, I'll have to say that for this hotel, I didn't feel slighted - I'd definitely stay again!

  But i thought the beds would be bigger. really, they are single beds and we had 5 people.

  Breakfast was good, TV was awesome! Maid service was very very late. Like 5 pm!
  Plus, if you don't know already, traffic in Austin is awful. Leave for your destination early. It took us 45 minutes to drive 5 miles.
