  We combined a business trip with a small vacation and lucked out at this Best Western. We have always counted on this chain to deliver quality we can depend on - but this location combined the best with the best. The inland coast of South Padres was just as captivating outside our room and we had a delightful breakfast on the patio and watched the fish jump during an unseasonably warm day - 90 degrees! The internet worked, the staff was very helpful in recommending places for dinner that were open, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. We had a suite and my only complaint was that coffee packets did not come with this room, as did a coffee pot, microwave and refrigerator. Small price to pay for the beauty of the location and comfort of the room. My husband was so happy just to stay on the patio and drink coffee for a greater part of the day - the accomodations were so pleasant. I recommend it! The price was the cheapest we had during a 5 day roadtrip and the entire experience very very nice. We did not try out the pool but it looked very clean and inviting as were the entire premises. Thanks for a great respite for a midwestern traveler!

  this is a hotel to stay cheap on a weekend, not exactly a "vacation hotel", but its nice and clean pool water needs maintance otherwise its ok. Friendly staff, ok continental breakfast. If you know the island and want to visit cheap this is a good way to do it

  This hotel was awful. we were 4 people staying in the room. we had to go to the main desk everyday to ask for washrags and towels. the maids never ...

  This hotel was awful. We were 4 people staying in the room. We had to go to the main desk everyday to ask for washrags and towels. The maids never really cleaned the room-they merely tidied up(emptied trash cans, made beds) Paint was peeling in the bathroom and the funiture was damaged. Breakfast was okay, but there was no room to move around. The front desk person had to check people in, out and keep the breakfast bar full. We ended up eating out just to avoid the area. This hotel was not worth the * we were charged. It goes down as one of the worst places we have ever stayed!

  Pictures very deceiving! pool hilariously tiny. we were given the wrong room key twice and twice awoke sleeping patrons. toilet broken, shower clogged. you do get what you pay for.

  I took my 3 kids. They loved the pool. I was not expected such clean good quality for such an inexpensive price. Continental breakfast was also great. Clean rooms, safe, close to beach, helpful staff. We had a fabulous time!"
