  Wow....this hotel is nothing like the pictures that it has posted and is not worthy, in my opinion, of being part of the Ho-Jo brand name. Let me break it down: 1. The elevators are horrid and give you a horribly terrifying feeling when you use them. The doors close on you very quickly and there are signs posted on what to do to get the door open. 2. The rooms are somewhat clean...but it all depends on which one you have. I had room 305 with alot of iron-burn marks on the floor. The room reminded me somewhat of the movie "Vacancy". My parents were in room 307 the first night and didn't have any working A/C, which are window units. They were moved to a much cleaner room 309 the next day. 3. The POOL....how do I begin? It's a cement hole in the ground that is covered with a shoddy-looking roof and the water comes straight from the garden hose. It seems like someone filled it up and then dumped God-knows-how-much chlorine in there. My sons' grey swimming trunks turned purple after being there for only 30 minutes or so.

  This is one of the oldest hotels in the area, thus it has a Great location. However, that does not trump the stains on the drapes , the spots on the floor, or the mystery splatters by the toilet and wall, or the broken air condissioners. Oh they work but they are litterally falling apart. The bugger on the towel! Eww! We also had no free continental breakfast. And the pool!? Well, there was more Chlorine than water. It actually made me choke just walking into the room. We stayed for 10 mins. After the first night I used the HOJO's phone to call all the other hotels in town. We went to the Holliday Inn Express on the South side of town. It is 3yrs old and WONDERFUL amenities. OH! BTW. one of the workers at the front desk at HoJos is a Bail Bondsman! Found that out after we left. Just the kind of prople I want my kids to be arround. (no offence to you Bail bondsman but this guy was just sleezy) If you want to save a few bucks go ahead, but I say spend the extra 40.
