  The hotel was very nice and the staff where wonderful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. For the price we paid they where it was perfect for a couple that drove over 12 hours and needed a decent place to stay over night. Paying for the room was exactly as quoted and conventent to pay at check out. Would stay their again, and Thanks to all the Staff.

  We stayed at the Best Western this past week for 4 days. We really though the Galveston would still be damaged by the hurricane, and we were afraid of what damage they may still have. Well we were amazed when the beach area strip still looked like the hurricane had never struck. The hotel was beautiful, though did lose a few bushes on one side. The rooms were very nice, and the pool was very tropical. We had a good time, and there rate was only 64.00. I highly recommend this place! We will be back :)

  We were disappointed that our Gulf View" was mostly a parking lot. We payed extra for the view, which was rediculous. The beds were hard and uncomfortable and you could see the filth on box springs. The bathroom shower curtain was torn. The elevators were very hot and had a sour odor. On a positive note, I would like to commend the young ladies at the front desk - they were very pleasant and friendly. The continental breakfast was fine; there was a good variety of food. We would not stay at this hotel again, for we feel it was overpriced.

  Stayed June 17. Didn't get the room I booked. Gulf view means 4th floor view of the hotel next door. Diabetics breakfast nightmare. Room was big enough for one person. Air conditoner was loud enough to keep me awake most of the night. Next time I go I will spend the money to get a real room.

  We recently went on a cruise from Galveston. We were kinda afraid about what we might find due to the Hurricane Ike last year. We were surprised by what we found. parts of the city are still in pretty bad shape, but it isn't nearly as bad as we thought it might be. Most of the beach is in great shape, and it was beautiful. The hotel didn't look like it had been through a storm, and we were very happy there. Nice people.
