  This was our second stay at this motel and we plan to stay here on future visits to Fort Stockton. The room was clean and met our needs. Every thing worked; the refrigerator, microwave, a nice flat screen TV, plenty of water pressure. The staff accommodated us with any request we made. Overall, for what is available in Fort Stockton, this motel offers us the best value and convenience.

  Check-in was quick and easy. Friendly staff. Our room was very nice. The decor had been updated with dark woods and warm tones. Room was very clean and well kept. The large flat-panel TV was really nice. No in-room movies, but decent number of TV stations. AC worked perfect. Fridge and microwave in room. Nice bathroom. I thought the bed was very comfortable. Decent pool on property as well. Typical continental breakfast. Easy to get to off highway. A restaurant and two gas stations are located across the street, and there is a McDonald's next door. There is a computer located in the lobby it appears guests can use if needed. Rooms also include a nice desk and Wi-Fi (although the wi-fi was a little slow). The nicest Days Inn I've ever stayed in. I would definitely stay there again.

  We stopped here after a long drive from Phoenix on our way to Austin. Check in was really slow. Desk clerk had difficulty figuring out how to deal with a credit card change. Room was large and recently cleaned, but not well cared for. Wallpaper was peeling. Bathroom door had a hole as if someone had kicked it. Beds were very spongy, not comfortable at all. None of us slept well that night. Door to exterior corridor and had large gap at bottom. Large bugs were seen crawling around outside room - could have easily crawled right in under door, and might have while we were trying to sleep. Breakfast was disappointing. Waffle maker was out of order so a single package of previously refrigerated grocery store donuts was set on top of it. The standard cereal, danishes, juice, and coffee were also available, but nothing to write home about. And the McDonalds next door was not any better.

  To start with---the rate was supposed to be $**.** taxes included. When I got my bill, I was charged different. Then it changed to an even higher rate. Unfortunately, it was a long day of traveling for a senior such as myself. Due to unforseen circumstances, I could not book in advance; but I went by the information I had on rates. The room was listed as handicapped, but the bathroom left much to be desired for a person who needs to have something for support while in the shower. As with the motels I dealt with on my trip, most of the handicapped rooms were not close to amenities such as ice or the lobby for the continental breakfast. And the only close eating place was a McDonald's next door. The room was clean and the bed comfortable--after being on the road most of the day- anything would have been acceptable. But never again!
