  I remember when this was built as the Red Raider Inn 30-40 years ago. I thought it looked great so I asked at the desk and they told me it had been gutted and remodeled recently. If I wasn't aware of the building's history I might have thought it was new. They told me the fitness center wasn't finished yet but I didn't have time for that anyway. It was a little pricey for a Days Inn but it was a Texas Tech football home game weekend and I booked pretty late so I was glad to get a room. Rooms were nice and cleanliness was very good. There was a mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The free breakfast was simple but adequate. Breakfast pastries, make-your-own waffles, cereal, fruit, fruit juice and hard boiled eggs. I was up late and got up early so I had plenty of coffee. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The parking areas were well lit. It's a little tricky to get to coming from the north or west. Having a GPS helped. I would be happy to stay here again. And the most important thing is, so would my wife.

  The hotel is very difficult to find but the staff is very helpful and super nice. The rooms have been remodeled and look very nice. Bed firm, but comfy. I had a non smoking room but it smelled very much like stale cigarette smoke. The bathroom had dark hair balls on the floor as if it had not been swept or mopped from the previous guest. Free breakfast bar in the morning was a surprise and adequate. Hard boiled eggs, make your own waffles, toast, bagels, cereal, fruit, juice and coffee. There are better locations but for the price it is a great deal.

  I am writing this review as I am in my hotel room. I waited too late to book a hotel room for my daughter's graduation from TT, and this was the only Hotel available in a reasonable price range. Despite the poor reviews I went ahead and booked the room thinking it was only for one night. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel has recently underwent remodeling. The room was clean and comfortable, and my parents who stayed in the next room found theirs the same way. The room appeared to have been completely redone lately, and there are some signs through out the hotel that they are still doing some finishing work in some of the meeting rooms. My only small complaint is that the noise from the newly tiled atrium and indoor pool area was a little bothersome at 9:30 PM, and the light switches needed a little scrubbing. Other than those two small items, I was very satisfied. I would intentionally seek out this hotel again for my next stay in Lubbock.

  The stafff was very friendly and courteous, but the room. the baseboards were very dirty and looked like housekeeping didn't vaccum. plus we ask for a wake up call ...

  The stafff was very friendly and courteous, but the room. The baseboards were very dirty and looked like housekeeping didn't vaccum. Plus we ask for a wake up call for 3am, never rec'ed. Disappointing. There are other hotels in the area, stay there.
