  Hotel was ok, BUT if you intend to get any rest or sleep DO NOT STAY here. My wife and i needed to stay over night to get some rest and continue out trip but were we in for a surprise!! Hotel is located next to an open air honky tonk that made loud noise(you really could not call it music). When the music stopped the trains started rolling by at least every hour or two. Don't know how close the railroad was but the trains were LOUD!! On top of that the freeway is too close the the traffic noise just added to the misery. On a positive note the bathroom was very clean, the shower had excellent water pressure which i needed BADLY to help relieve the fatigue from a very sleepless night!

  It was an ok stay. comfy beds, easy check in. not enough parking. easy access to texas state university. easy check out. will stay there again for the price.

  We stayed at this hotel because of its proximity to all the restuarants-but it def was not worth it!! Although the room was decent the shower and the bed were not up to par. The bed had an obvious dip in the middle and it was super squeaky. The towels had someones elses hair in it already and there were only two towels for the room-no washcloths or step out towels. The toilet felt like a rocking chair every time you sat on it. Not to mention the leak that was coming from the toilet and shower-eww. The front desk staff were less than personable and very short w/ me. And lets not talk about the breakfast-if it should be called that. Two juices and a box of pastries?! uh no thanks.

  We chose this hotel simply for the price. It has just been remodeled the carpet was brand new as well as the linens and the tile in the bathroom. Everyone was very friendly and the staff at the desk accomodated everything we asked for. There are great restaurants all around. I would definitley stay here again on our next trip to San Marcos. You can't beat the value if you do not mind not having a large breakfast. We just went out for breakfast.

  I wasn't expecting much, so I was pleasantly surprised. It was far from a luxury hotel, but the bathroom had been recently remodeled--with tile and granite. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The outside left a LOT to be desired--it needs work. And if you want something for breakfast more substantial than sweet rolls, plan to go to a restaurant. At least it was something for someone who didn't have time to go out to eat. However, there was a bonus. When I checked out, the receipt the desk clerk gave me showed I was charged a rate $ LESS than what I was quoted online. I would recommend this motel for anyone only needing a place to stay overnight.
