  This hotel is very old and out dated. They are supposed to be a ""Hilton"" Hotel but do not follow all Hilton guidelines. I was very disappointed when I stayed. If you are not a fan of a musty smelling hotel I would not recommend staying here. I got alergies as soon as I walked inside. There is a lot of water damage in the rooms and the room service was horrible.

• Band noise -- but an OK place

  The embassy suites in mcallen is an ok place to stay. the one probelm is the band noise. if you turn on the fan in your room, it basically drowns ...

  The Embassy Suites in McAllen is an OK place to stay. The one probelm is the band noise. If you turn on the fan in your room, it basically drowns out the noise. But this is a problem. Also, when wwe were there, one elevator was out of service for 4 days. And the other elevators are really slow. The breakfasts were excellent. The desk people were friendly. The van to the airport seemed reliable. We had a special rate on a room -- but I surely would not pay the full rate here mainly because of the band noise.

  This was a terrible hotel. business center computers did not work, air only worked in living area, vending machine took my money with no soda, bed was extremely hard, loud ...

  This was a terrible hotel. Business center computers did not work, air only worked in living area, vending machine took my money with no soda, bed was extremely hard, loud music in bar echoed through the atrium, room service was BAD. I travel alot on business and I have to say that this was one of the worst places that I have stayed. Not worth the amount that they charged.
