  The staff at this hotel is the most accomodating that I have seen. They opened the bar for us earlier than usual, fixed our computer's internet properties, booked us another hotel in Dallas. Their rooms were clean, the food was good. We did see maintenance hard at work. This is an older hotel but with a great attitude.

  Even if you are on a budget you should skip this hotel it?s not worth the heartache and hassle. the rooms were clean and the staff was nice however ...

  Even if you are on a budget you should skip this hotel it?s not worth the heartache and hassle. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice however if you plan on hitting the beach and then coming back to a clean room you can forget that. The hotel didn?t get to our room until about 5pm to clean and give us fresh towels. They have two swimming pools, the one near the lobby was small, but clean however the big pool is a health hazard...I have never seen a pool more disgusting, it was so dirty you couldn?t see the bottom in the 3 foot section of the pool. We also had to change rooms at 12 midnight because the AC froze up and wouldn?t work, the hotel moved us to a new room in the middle of the night and that AC quit working at about 7am the following morning. This is a old hotel with old TV?s and that old smell...My advice is skip this place you'll be happy you did.

  I stayed at the hotel in 2008 - the internet was horrible, service lackluster and the hotel could have been cleaner. Did not intend to return. Against my instincts, I stayed again on 02.20.09 for 2 nights since they had the best rates. Something had happened at the hotel, perhaps new management. The internet was FANTASTIC and the staff was AWESOME. They were all so alive and eager to please. Tried out their bar at night and it was packed. They had live music. The food took a little long to come, could have been due to the fact that it was packed. If I visit Brownsville again I will definitely come back.

  Very satisfied with the property, room, service. was on a one day business trip, staff was helpful, would definitely stay there again.
