  The neighborhood is ok, not great; front desk excellent; upgraded us to a suite no extra charge; i would definitely stay there again.

  Three of us stayed overnight and found the hotel to be very nice, clean and service was great. The location is superb, around the corner from the Empire State Bldg. I've stayed at expensive 5 star hotels in the city before and have not been quite as happy in some as with this. Breakfast was super also. I was surprised to see such a nice Comfort Inn in the City. I figured on it being old and in need of repair. You cannot beat the price for what you get here.

• Rude, Overpriced

  This was a traveller's nightmare. I was taking my husband to the ER and calling the hotel to see if we could cancel. The manager, was rude, not a bit helpful. He wouldn't let our friends that we were sharing our suite with check in without us. He finally let us change the name if the online travel agency faxed him the name change AND called them following the fax. The fax number didn't work so the agency had to call, get a new fax number, refax the document, call the manager (all while I am on the phone with them from the emergency room). Our friends were permitted to check in as the room was already fully paid for. We were able to meet them later that evening. We reserved a two bedroom suite. That's it -- two small bedrooms. We have stayed in several NYC suites and this was by far the smallest. SMALL. the pictures on the website are obviously taken to make the rooms look big. There is no sitting room or kitchenette in the room. Just two bedrooms filled with beds, barely room to walk by. There are better choices. I would never stay at this location again. This manager caused us unnecessary trouble when we were dealing with an emergency. The price of the room is WAY overpriced for what you get and the breakfast isn't worth much either. We will obviously not be staying here again.

  Great location! Room is very smal, but bed was very comfortablel - bathroom is impossibly small, but decent value in NY for the money. If parking a car, call the hotel first to find out the lot that they discount - that saved siginifcany money! Free continental breakfast in the morning was very crowded with greedy guests grabbing as much food as they could carry, but considering there isn't much free in NY, it wasn't that bad!
