  I went to Newport to get away for a few days. This hotel did not disappoint. I don't understand the few bad reviews it got. I checked in and the front desk clerk offered me a free upgrade to a jacuzzi room, which was awesome. The room was spotless, and the beds were comfy. The staff was very friendly, several people asked me about my stay and had conversations with me. It's quiet, off of the road enough so you don't hear the noise from the street. Great stay overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

  Went with a group on vacation and we choose this hotel for the price and the tempurpedic beds. We were surprised to find massage chairs all over the hotel and we really took advantage of this. The staff was excellent, they really made us feel like we were more than guests. The front desk clerks actually talk to you, not just a nod like at other hotels, they ask you how your day is going, do you need anything, how is your room, can they get anything for us, we were surprised to even get a call after we checked into the room on the first night to make sure we liked the room. The continental breakfast was way more than a continental breakfast, quite a selection. The place is so clean. We will stay there again when we go back to RI. Also nice that there is a hair salon there so some of us got our hair cut and one of us even had a facial. Nice touch, good job Newport Inn, we will be back.

  The stay was pleasant...Close to Newport and sort of off the beaten tract. By that I mean, property location away from main street, with picnic area and green foliage around. The beds were terriffic and the big tubs a bonus to the weary traveler; but for this and every hotel I stayed in, can we please do away with plastic cups. Nothing worse than coffee in styrofoam, it taste like petroleum. I'm not rich and *, plus per night is pushing my tolerence for something I consider tacky and wouldn't do at home.

  Foyer and hallways look nice. but, the rooms need work. wallpaper peeling, paint in bottom of tub,pieces of finish trim missing,old furniture.
