  Very Favorable rating. Small boutiqe style with very clean rooms and freindly staff. Front desk fast and bar in lobby is very cozy and fun. Location is excellent for south beach and beach access. Only advise is if you rent a car you will need to find parking or use thier valet. Many cabs so no need for a car here. I would definately and will plan to stay again.

  The hotel was in the perfect location, close to everything. room clean, king bed comfy. staff very friendly and helpful. hot water gets really hot!

  The staff were nice and courteous. The place was clean and close to the beach. However, our room has the view of the street and can hear everything from the sounds of the cars to the pedestrians walking. The hotel has hardwood floors and we can hear the footsteps from the upstairs room especially if they are wearing heels. The bathroom was small and the closet was more like a small boiler room. The pipes are exposed and the AC makes such a loud noise when it turns on. And lastly, the TV remote had a duck tape covering the batteries so it won't work until u press hard on the batteries. With all their renovation they could've gotten a new remote for the TV. Overall, the hotel is good for a short stay... like a day or two.

  Nifty three floor Art Deco motel with lots of charm and value. There is an attached bar that uses both sides of the porch but guests can sit without having to order from the bar. You cannot however bring your own alcoholic beverages to the verandahs to enjoy. The beach is less than a block away and Collins Avenue is busy but the rooms are quiet. A city parking garage is just one street over and the daily rate is a mere $20. Your mandatory room fee ($8.95/day upon arrival) covers beach towels, breakfast and afternoon wine and cheese, not a bad deal.

  First, the front desk staff is beyond rude and unorganized. Second, when you check in they throw all of these fees at you...breakfast, valet, etc. Third, the rooms are nothing like the pictures!! They are dark, dingy, and smell moldy. If you need extra towels, too bad because even if you call the front desk and they tell you they will bring them up, you won't get them unless you go to the desk yourself hours later. The elevator is real skecthy too. Not to mention the room doors could be kicked in by a 7 year old. Do not pay for valet...there is a huge parking deck a block away. Unless you are going downtown or some where far, you will walk everywhere anyway. We weren't in the room much, but it is a waste of money. Other than that...it is in a really good location. The beach is a block away and it is in walking distance from all the action!!
