  I cannot understand the positive reviews of this hotel. we left after one night. we could not fit our suitcase between the bed and the t.v. the full bed ...

  I cannot understand the positive reviews of this hotel. We left after one night. We could not fit our suitcase between the bed and the T.V. The full bed was too small for two adults and the bathroom was ridiculous. This hotel looks as if it has not been updated, or even painted in 50 years. The door looked like someone took a crowbar to the lock.

  We had a very positive experience with the Wellington Hotel. While there were several foreign-speaking tour groups meeting in the lobby, our rooms were accessed through a separate elevator, so we never had to wait for an elevator. The staff was very pleasant, rooms were clean, water pressure was fantastic, our floor was very quiet during our six-night stay. The midtown location can't be beat. We had breakfast every morning in the adjoining coffee shop and had good meals, great service, decent prices. On our arrival night, we had dinner at Molyvos Greek Restaurant right next door and had one of the best dining experiences of our trip.

  We were QUITE impressed with the whole procedure at the Wellington from beginning to end. Before we got there we were upgraded to a more spacious room, and friends traveling with us were upgraded the next day. The employees of the hotel were as nice as could be. The rooms were clean and views excellent. We were concerned about location but found it BETTER than being right in the middle of Times Square, where we have been many times before. Considering the time of year we were there (play wise), we feel very fortunate, recommend it highly, and will return.

  My friend and I stayed at the Wellington for two nights. Upon arriving, we were early, and unable to get in our room until the actual check-in time. The front desk and bellhop could not have been nicer or more helpful. They immediately took our luggage from us, to see if they could put it in the room ahead of time, which they did. When we decided to sit and wait on the stairs in the lobby area, one of the security staff gently and graciously explained we could not block that area. We immediately stood up, and he apologized and suggested the chairs by the hotel guest computers (the more comfortable lobby furniture was occupied). We then decided to use the computers (a small fee was required), and this helped pass the time greatly. From check-in to check-out, the entire staff was extremely courtious, friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean, although in dire need of repair and remodeling. We had been upgraded to a suite (a perk that was unexpected!!) due to extra rooms being available. It was very nice, but needed wall repair (gouges and stains were visable) and updating such as new pictures on the walls and new linen. The furnishings appeared outdated. Regardless, we were extremely happy with this hotel and would stay again in a minute!! PS. The location is to die for!! Right by Times Square- tourist shops and delis galore!

  This hotel was a wonderful place to stay. Centrally located for us and the things we wanted to do. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would most definitely stay there again.
