  After two weeks of consecutive travel, I have to say I am generally unimpressed with Holiday Inn Express. First of all, the staff here was FABULOUS everyone was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The facility's pool and hot tub were large and nice, especially for kids. The food at the restaurant was good, better than I expected, and the waitstaff prompt and friendly. The room was clean, but very run down. It reeked of carpet deodorizer, the edges of the couch were literally black with wear, the phone was broken, and one of the televisions was barely viewable. The staff did try to resolve these issue to the best of their ability. There is no elevator here so request a room on the first floor if you have any sizable luggage. The smokers are also upstairs, making the whole floor seem like the smoking section. The food twenty dollar meal voucher that I was given with my reservation was a 10% off coupon for dinner (for adult entrees only) and a 2 dollar discount for the breakfast buffet. Kids do eat free, so that was helpful, but it was not equivalent to the advertised deal. Williams is pretty small, so some of the other hotels may be about the same. I would recommend this place only for the staff.

  The staff here was generally friendly, but seemed rather ineffective in solving some of the problems with the room (tv's not working, outlets not working, etc.). We stayed to see Palo Duro, which was great. The restaurant next door was fine, and they deliver. The free breakfast here was pretty much as expected, but kept running out of everything. The coffee was terrible. The rooms clearly need some TLC with the furniture being worn, stained, and in one case falling apart. If you want to be close to the Canyon, this might be a viable option, otherwise, stay in Amarillo where you have more options and things to do.

  we stayed for several days and all the staff was helpful. the front desk staff was friendly and seemed to go out of their way to be sure we had everything. The overall hotel stay was one of our best experiences. thanks

  we liked the breakfast buffet there were bagels, bananas, fruit, milk, coffee, o. j., waffle mix were you could pour yourself a waffle in the shape of Texas, we had no trouble checking in at 2 am when we arrived. The kids(17 and 15) love the hot tub and the pool. But there was a big bug and a moth floating on the water. Otherwise the pool area was clean. The room towels were nice but we weren't supposed to take them to the pool and there were only small handsize towels there.
