  My husband and I stayed at On the Ave for 4 wonderful nights. The room was clean the bed was comfy the staff was top notch! I like the area because it was nice and quiet. The diner on the corner is a good choice for breakfast 14 bucks for two people. The Chirping Chicken down the street (away from Bway) is yummy and they deliver to your room. I love the patio on the 16 floor. Its a good place to chill. On the Ave will be the only hotel I will stay at from here on out!

  Aside from a little mix up with the name on the reservation, everything was very good. Room decent size for NY, really nice linens, excellent service from all the hotel employees. No room service, but I'd rather go out in NY. Fun neighborhood restaurants. I'll definitely go back to this hotel.

  We were so happy with our choice of hotels. On The Ave was absolutely perfect for our stay. Clean rooms, friendly attentive staff, comfortable beds. Our room was ""interior"" so it was REALLY quiet! The most wonderful neighborhood, we felt very safe, great diner across the street, grocery market, wine store, everything you could want! There was even a ""street fair"" on Sunday that was a huge wonderful surprise! Subway is close and easy to use. Loved the rooftop balcony, we took a bottle of wine up there and enjoyed the view and great weather and comfy sofas! Just a short walk to Central Park. We couldn't have made a better choice! We were very happy!

  Neighborhood is great. Hotel is decent but grossly overpriced. We stayed in one of the city vista rooms which is deluxe room with a balcony. The carpet and furniture was stained and neglected. Grout in the bathroom was filthy. I asked for some silverware for the room (for takeout snacks) and was told there wasn't any. For $600/nnight I expect better. I stay at the hotel because of its location. The hotel itself falls well short of what on should receive for paying ***night. Yeah, I know NYC is expensive, but if I'm willing to pay ***, I should be getting something more than decent room in a good neighborhood. Also, bell staff tried to hustle me into a town care on my departure by lying to me about what a taxi would cost to the airport and claiming there would be very little difference from the town car. Inappropriate for the hotel to permit that.

  Our room was very clean with a great view and heavenly bed!! The decor was chic boutique hotel all the way!! Service was very polite....even to our Southern standards!! Have already suggested it to friends and family! It is also very close to the subway and there is a great little neighborhood grocery across the street with wonderful gourmet deserts! I felt like I was part of this wonderful neighborhood!
