  Used points to stay here. good location, easy walking to virtually anything, and being only a block from grand central meant we saved a ton of money taking the subway ...

  Used points to stay here. Good location, easy walking to virtually anything, and being only a block from Grand Central meant we saved a ton of money taking the subway vs. a cab. Older hotel that was very clean and the employees were very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was good, service was good. Only real downside was how small it was relative to how the pictures made it look. So help me...the lobby, restaurant, and room all looked like they were on half-scale to the pictures on the website. We'd definitely stay there again, but if elbow room is a big deal, you may want to consider other options.

  Great location just blocks from lots of sights near times square. this isn't a posh hotel, but it was very clean, comfortable, convenient and the service was excellent.

  When we first arrived for check-in, it took a while (maybe 10-15) to get a room b/c a pipe had burst somewhere in the hotel and they had several unavailable rooms. They gave us vouchers for a free breakfast next door, which the people working there made us pay a small amount anyway. While my friends and I were in our room that same night, another family showed up and just walked in!!! The people working the front didn't even mark that the room was taken!!! What would have happened if we weren't in our room? They could have taken things! I went downstairs to talk to the front desk and they got it figured out but b/c of the mix up I ended up getting locked out of my own room and had to go back downstairs again and my friends and I had to be issued new keys. On our final day we woke up to construction on the next roof over.
  The people were pleasent, polite and helpful but the hotel itself was not impressive.
