  Our family of four traveled to the Finger Lakes Region during early August 2009. We reserved the Hilton Garden Inn for three nights. We checked in later in the evening and our reserved room was not available. The hotel clerk upgraded our room to an executive suite. It was clean and spacious and comfortable. The front desk clerks were very friendly. They offered lots of suggestions on places to visit and to eat. The hotel pool was clean and our teenage boys enjoyed it immensely. The hotel provided us with the USA Today paper each morning. The hotel offered complimentary delicious home baked cookies each evening. We pre-paid for the breakfasts, prior to our trip. The omelots, pancakes and french toast were made to order. Yum! The location of the hotel was perfect. Every destination was within an hour (or less) to drive - Lake Seneca, Cayuga, Corning Museum, etc..... The hotel was within walking distance to the Arnot Mall and lots of chain restaurants. I

  The Hilton Garden Inn is located about ten miles from Watkins Glen and was our stop over stay Friday night. The hotel is located just across the street from a mall and just south of our destination Watkins Glen. The front end staff greated us and answered all our questions about the wine festival and gave us directions to Corning where we planned to eat lunch. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Up to our standards for a Garden Inn, We ate dinner at the restuarant and the prime rib special at $* was a good deal. It was nice to be able to share a bottle of wine and a meal without having to go a seek out a place to eat. Overall this is a very nice inn. Our rate was a bit high however the wine festival brings in the crowds and it was hard to find a lower rate.

  My husband and I are from this area and return yearly for visits. Yes, the rooms are pricey but compared to other locations this is still the nicest place. The breakfast package seems expensive but it's convenient and for four people. You can eat at the hotel and be on the road quickly. Our room service was delivered fast and the food was good. We had a King Junior Suite which was not luxurious but nice. The internet worked well and remote printing was easy.
  
  It is very close to the airport, but quiet. Also, the shopping malls are located within a mile. The mall has movie theaters and restaurants. Fast food is also very close.

  The place was nice. I have recieved comparable great accomodations and service at other hotels for nearly half the price. The only difference here was that we got the ""romance package"" which consted of a bottle of cheap wine and breakfast. the wine had a little kick and the breakfast was good, but not really worth @ double the price.While having a nice time on this trip, I will probably opt for the same, less pricey accomodations next time. I suppose I was perhaps paying a little more to help support Paris Hilton's jet set life style.
