  Vasty over rated, i have stayed in a lot of these so called chic hotels and dont mind paying the extra, the sanderson in london for example is very similar ...

  vasty over rated, i have stayed in a lot of these so called chic hotels and dont mind paying the extra, the Sanderson in London for example is very similar but lives up to its reputation with quality u dont mind paying for, this was a very poor effort with terrible staff ! ! dont do it DONT !

  Having stayed at numerous hotels on the South Beach strip, I expected this to be as nice if not one of the better hotels for the money spent. Unfortunatly, I spent three days in a cement box that had no personality..grey floors and white walls. No color ANYWHERE. I can appreciate the "modern twist", but when your room consists of a bed, chair and desk...literally.....I have a problem. The hotel room didnt even come with a coffee pot?? The noise level was even worse. South Beach is all about the party, but dont think your walls and door cover the sound and you are going to sleep. I thought I had a DJ in my room at one point it was so loud. I did not utilize the pool during the day b/c it looked like a rap video at best....packed @ 11am with people drinking botlles of vodka. However, to get a drink there at night was nice. Beautiful gardens. Staff at the hotel had much to be desired.....I will never go back...never again. Not worth the money AT ALLLLLLLLLLL.

  We arrived in the room, which felt cold and unfriendly to begin with, but decided to make the best of it. We first showered before beginning the evening and found hair on the shower wall. Called the front desk 4 times before it was taken care of. When speaking to the manager on duty, he was incredibly rude and unaccommodating. When you pay that much for a hotel room, the service should be impeccable, but it never even came close to that. The pool was an obnoxious scene filled with crude individuals. I spent my days on the beach by the ocean, which made up for the horrible hotel. The hotel is in a great location and the beach is gorgeous, but if you are going to stay in the hotel, be prepared for loud, party people, an absolutely dreadful staff and hotel rooms lacking cleanliness.

  Service was TERRIBLE! Arrived to find out our room was given away and they offered to put us in a cheaper room with a view of the dumpster instead of the oceanfront room we booked. Hotel looks like the inside of what a mental institution would look like. Room service was disgusting, any request to the front desk required numerous follow-up calls to actually get what you asked for. Pool was crowded and filthy. The air conditioner leaked and there were water marks all over the walls. The floor was CEMENT, entire hotel gave a very "cold" feeling. You definitely do not get the service and atmosphere you should for the money. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!!

  Some things you don't mind paying more for, even when you know its too much. But when you pay 5-10 times more for something that is obviously worse than what you would expect ($$$+ for a room with a concrete floor, $$ for a weak drink in a plastic cup after 20 minutes waiting, and horrible staff), it's irritating. Useless and apathetic service, clearly rip off prices, and unimaginative cost cutting design posing as style. A cheap update of an old hotel. Don't stay here. You can get much better value and a much better experience elsewhere in Miami.
